 Coated
aluminium is used for the production of capsules for both the
food and pharmaceutical industries. The severe stress to which
the material is submitted during the production process requires
specific properties, both in the metal and in the coating, to
accord with various applications. Coating protection gives the
metal particular properties such as high hygienic and aesthetic
levels, resistance to sterilization and suitability for food
packaging. According to the end use and to the customer's production
requirements, the lacquer can be vynil, epoxy and epoxyphenholic.

Coils for rigid containers,
easy-open lids and aerosol caps
 Coated
aluminium has achieved a primary role in the production of cans
for fish, meat, coffee, spreadables, etc... Apart from its lightness
and the possibility of its being recycled, it also offers remarkable
resistance against corrosion. Lacquers used for such applications
are of epoxy type, resistant to sterillization at 121°C
for 30 minutes in water steam or, on request, in basic or acid
environments.
