Alumir

This product has been patented by Italcoat and can be used in different fields of application. It consists in a flat rolled aluminium coupled at high temperature to a metallized polyester film suitable for high deformability with the main property of preserving its brightness even after a plastic deformation (deep drawing). The main properties of Alumin are:
- solvents content>0.15mg/m2 (gas-chromatographic analysis)
- resistance to highly acid foods
- resistance to salt-water as well as industrial corrosion
- possibility of personalizing the product by flexo- or rotogravure printing both on plastic film or on outside lacquered surface.
The above -mentionned properties enable the use of such a product in different fields, as:
- cosmetics (capsules, ferrules, boxes and lids),
- liquor-distillery (bright-finish capsules),
- foood-industry (production of rigid and semi-rigid containers),
- building (rolling shutters, false ceilings, stave-rack listels...).

Honey Comb

The Honey-Comb light panels are used for fixed (building industry) as well as for mobile applications in transport means (aereonautic, naval and motor vehicle fields). Further to its lightness and aesthetics feature, the peculiarity of Honey-Comb is no doubt its resistance to compression.

Italcoat produces already preadhesivized aluminium coils to get Honey-Comb with different goemetries which enable remarkably higher productivity against the traditional processing. With such a semi-finished product our customers can shorten their production cycle restricting it to cutting of sheets, pressing (at 180 and 210°C temperature), cutting of packets and extension of cells. It has been proved that by using these pre-adhesivized coils, the productivity has been sensitively improved (up to 95% of faultless extended cells).

Italcoat can make special treatments on the flat rolled aluminium for products destined to nautic industry as well as to highly polluted places. It is a rolled aluminium pre-adhesivized after a special precoating application.
